PUNCTURED TANK PROJECT
Osprotech’s services were recently called upon by a local oil field services company who had damaged a fibre glass container whilst moving it around their yard.
The tank in question had been punctured when it collided with a valve on a similar tank, this required an on-site visit from myself to asses and repair the damage.
The repair was carried out in a couple of stages. Firstly a core plate was attached to the inside face and the outer face was scarfed back and repaired. Once the outer repair had cured the core plate was then removed and the inner face was scarfed back and repaired. Once happy with the laminating work the repair was finally sealed with a flowcoat.
